What is Marriage?

The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains:

“The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.” (CCC, 1601)

Sacred Scripture begins with the creation of man and woman in the image and likeness of God and concludes with a vision of “the wedding-feast of the Lamb.” Scripture speaks throughout of marriage and its “mystery,” its institution and the meaning God has given it, its origin and its end, its various realizations throughout the history of salvation, the difficulties arising from sin and its renewal “in the Lord” in the New Covenant of Christ and the Church. (CCC, 1602)

When God created humanity he already instituted Marriage. The evidence can be found in the book of Genesis: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. . . . Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh” (Genesis 1:27; 2:24). Take note the phrase “they become one flesh” it is a fact that God intended marriage to be a lifelong relationship.

Divorce

Divorce is a grave offense against the natural law. It claims to break the contract, to which the spouses freely consented, to live with each other till death. Divorce does injury to the covenant of salvation, of which sacramental marriage is the sign. Contracting a new union, even if it is recognized by civil law, adds to the gravity of the rupture: the remarried spouse is then in a situation of public and permanent adultery:

If a husband, separated from his wife, approaches another woman, he is an adulterer because he makes that woman commit adultery, and the woman who lives with him is an adulteress because she has drawn another’s husband to herself. (CCC, 2384)

But I say that a man, who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. – (Matt 5:32). See also (Matthew 19:6-7, Ephesians 5:33, 1 Corinthians 7:39, Luke 16:18)

The Civil Marriage is not Recognize by the Church?

Since the Church is not a witness in the Civil Marriage, the Marriage will not be a sacrament. In the eyes of the Church, the two couples are not married. It looks like a Trial Marriage. So if they engage in sex as if they are married civilly, they are actually committing adultery. Therefore the Church does NOT recognize the Civil Weddings.

Does the Catholic Church allow Two Catholic couples to be married outside the Church? Ex. A resort, beach wedding etc.

Two Catholics must be married in the Church, the appropriate place for the celebration of the matrimony no other place is appropriate for the marriage of two Catholic couple because the church is the house of the Living God.

How about a Catholic and non-Catholic?

Catholic and a non-Catholic Christian can get married in the Church or outside the Catholic Church (ex. Beach wedding, resort etc.) with a dispensation (approval) from his / her bishop, they can also marry in the non-Catholic church. A Catholic and a non-Christian can get married in the Church or any other suitable place (the marriage is not sacramental), but the Catholic will need a dispensation from the bishop to marry a non-Catholic without it your marriage will not be valid.

Is the so called Same-sex Marriage accepted by the Church?

The answer is absolutely NO!

Does having a marriage or even relationship with the same-sex permitted by God?

But among the Lord’s people, women are not independent of men, and men are not independent of women. (1 Cor. 11:11, NLT)

God created only male and female (Genesis 1:27; 2:24) that is the only gender that God created. The purpose of creating only two genders is because a man needs a woman and a woman needs a man. Same-sex relationships are not and absolutely cannot be marriages.

Life-giving aspect of Christian Marriage, every couple must necessarily consist of one male and one female, as that is how God created human beings to multiply; indeed, the primary reason God created human beings male and female is for the purpose of procreation. (Jim Blackburn from 20 Answers Series: Divorce & Remarriage)

Same-sex Marriage will never have a place in the Catholic Church because the Marriage in the Catholic is very Sacred than the other Marriages.

There is no Love in same-sex marriage, even a relationship. They are embracing relativism or there is no an absolute truth and that is against by Truth. What they only feel is Lust.

Love has no gender? And how can love be a sin?

Love has a gender because God created only two genders which are male and female, there is no gender such as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender.

Human Love has a Gender because Human Beings have Gender by Nature.

If your feelings are based only on your heart and not a feeling with the words of God, then your Love can be a sin because our heart is deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9). Love should be bound by Truth if love is not bound by truth; it’s no longer Love its lust.

Sexuality, by means of which man and woman give themselves to one another through the acts which are proper and exclusive to spouses, is not something simply biological but concerns the innermost being of the human person as such. It is realized in a truly human way only if it is an integral part of the love by which a man and woman commit themselves totally to one another until death” (CCC 2361).
